Nourishing the Mind, Body, and Soul

Hi, I am so happy that you are here! My name is Peggy Exumé and I am passionate about holistic wellness. I am a dual concentration graduate student studying Clinical Mental Health and Substance Abuse. I have a tremendous passion for plant-based nutrition and I am also a fitness instructor at Rise Nation. I created this space to share healthy recipes, mental health tips, and fitness motivation. A space where we nourish the mind, body, and spirit.

Nourishing the mind, body, and spirit is something I am passionate about because just six years ago, I struggled with depression, anxiety, and binge eating. It took some time for me to figure things out and become healthier, and my “Aha!” moment occurred when I finally understood that health is not just about “food and weight loss;” they are all interconnected. Yes, what we eat matters, exercise matters, but the thoughts we have about ourselves matters; and making time for self-care and joy matters too!

It wasn’t a health journey of perfect choices, but one of slow progress, and holding myself accountable in making better choices for optimal living. So, as I continue to live a lifestyle of making healthier choices, I have developed a passion for encouraging others to do the same. From food to fitness, I love to share tips and inspiration for wellness and better living. And my hope is that you find that here, in this (digital) space.
